Why so serious?

They say the seeds of what we will do are in all of us, but it always seemed to me that in those who make jokes in life the seeds are covered with better soil and with a higher grade of manure.

  1. A great quote! Those who are able to laugh at themselves and at the ironies of life are better able to survive its vicissitudes intact. Still, there are also those who are like weed and, seemingly miraculously, push their tender heads through dry soil and even concrete. I suspect that they, too, are laughing as they reach for the sun.
