Story of a life (in 50 words)

She made to-do-lists for everything. She even had a list that listed her lists. She had nested folders where lists were organised meticulously. All this took so much time that she never got to check the boxes. Thus, she never did anything and everything became things she would never do.

  1. Holla Sweet Sammie! I totally love the word play here and those final lines….didn’t see ’em coming by several long shots! After all said and done, drawing up a list of ‘to dos’ that will never see the light of day! Who knew?! I’m mortified though and that Jellybeans is a pretty scary thought! Grisly! *shivering*

You ‘killed’ the challenge twice as nice gurl, absolutely love it! You go gurl! *laughing*

  2. Simple but very profound thoughts…life is complex and putting it in simple and limited words is not easy proposition…things we want to do in our lifetime and things we shouldn’t do is enlisted and never followed the way it is meant to be…very crisp nothing cryptic about it…

    1. Thank you Nihar. This was my first attempt at writing fiction with a very restrictive word limit. It was enjoyable. I have a list of things I want try on my blog 😛
Also, I think what we ‘should’ and ‘shouldn’t’ do is very subjective. People/ideas in power make these lists and this list is usually different from what we ‘need’ and ‘needn’t’ do.

      1. It is always very challenging to express in such limited words and with such simple choice of words…though we love to play with words and when it comes to writing fiction we are flooded with new ideas, the tough task is separating the complex thoughts from the simple ideas about what we think what we see and observe…

Things to do list is suppose to guide us and control our thinking and flow of activities…yes, it is different from what we need to and what we shouldn’t do…
